Ok friends...I’ve remained largely silent on this app for months. But I just can’t do it anymore. Instagram has always been a place of positivity and inspiration for me and I am heartbroken to see it moving away from that. People I care about have jumped into the ring and felt the need to weigh in on the current climate in our country. It pains me to think that I can no longer come here and enjoy the sanctuary I thought I’d found. And before you say it, yes I’ve “curated” my feed to follow only accounts that I used to truly enjoy. People with a positive outlook and uplifting attitude. Unfortunately everyone thinks they need to publicly chose sides. Like we’re in elementary school choosing dodgeballs teams. Here’s my problem. I was never able to chose sides. I just couldn’t pick someone and reject someone else. And I still can’t do it. You will never hear me publicly put down another person for voting differently than I did. You will never see me making political statements or choosing one team over another. I would rather be the only girl not playing the recess games than be someone who might hurt someone else. So that’s where I’m at right now. I won’t be hanging out here much for the foreseeable future. I hope to be back when people remember that we are all human beings doing the best we can. Lastly...yes I did vote and NO I won’t tell you for whom. And if you feel the need to unfollow me...have at it 💔

I’m a day late but had to make sure and say Happy National Daughter’s Day to my favorite girlie. Love you so much sis!! #nationaldaughtersday #redheadsrule

We’ve had eventful couple of days. This is some

We’ve had eventful couple of days. This is some of the destruction just in our backyard. We also had a neighbors tree come down on my daughter’s car and and another neighbor down the street lost a huge willow on the power lines. No power since yesterday at 5am and not expected to be back until late tomorrow. Good thing we have a bunch of camping gear to use inside. We’re all safe and our home itself wasn’t damaged. So much to be grateful for 💜

Happy Thursday friends! I haven’t been very act

Happy Thursday friends! I haven’t been very active here lately so I thought I’d pop in and show you what I’ve been up to. Most of you know that I run a busy Etsy shop making custom memory quilts. I’ve worked really hard for the last several years and I’m truly proud of what I’ve accomplished. A few months ago a client contacted me asking if I would make a custom quilt for her daughter using a Korean style called Bojagi. She sent me an inspiration photo (photo 5) and I did a bunch of research before I agreed. I wanted to make sure I could make something beautiful all while respecting her heritage. The client sent me her daughter’s clothing and I drafted a pattern based on what she sent and the inspiration photos. After I finished piecing the quilt I quilted it in my new Grace Q’nique 21pro Longarm. I was over the moon with the finished quilt and my client was ecstatic. She’s already sent 2 people my way for something similar. I have been working so hard that I haven’t found much time to share here. I am so grateful for a supportive family and incredible friends and I want to say thank you all for your inspiration and positive energy. Now I’m back to my sewing machine....
