Hey Friends! Thanks so much for stopping by. I’m Angela the maker behind ALC Creates. I am a wife,
mom and animal lover living as close to the mountains in Utah as I can get. I spend my days playing with
fabric, working in my garden and shuttling my two teenagers around. I learned to sew when I was very
young and have fond memories sitting on my paternal grandmother’s lap “steering” the fabric while she
pushed the pedal. I mainly started sewing clothes and other small crafts and have many a blue ribbon
from my local 4H competitions to show for it. I didn’t start quilting until I was pregnant with my first
child in early 2001. At the time it seemed perfectly logical to teach myself a brand new skill while
working full time and nesting. Somehow I managed to figure it out, mostly through books from my local
library as the internet was still fairly new. My daughter made her appearance several weeks early so her
nursery wasn’t complete for a bit. Once it was finally ready she had a handmade quilt, bumper pads,
several crib sheets, a dust ruffle, diaper stacker and matching curtains. If I was going to do this quilting
thing I was going all in 🙂 Well I’ve pretty much been all in ever since. I truly believe the quote that says
“What I make with my hands I give of my heart.”
Now days you will find me “playing” with fabric every chance I get. I am an experienced pattern tester
and regularly work with a number of quilt pattern designers to test their patterns before release. I also
create custom one of a kind heirloom memory quilts using clothing and other fabric treasures. I love
making quilts of all shapes and sizes and have a soft spot for quilty pillows. You can see a number of my
finished items for sale in my Etsy shop. You can also see more of my adventures with my family and fur
babies on Instagram (linked below). Thanks so much for stopping by! Feel free to drop me a note at firstname.lastname@example.org anytime.
